Wink Remote Start on a 5 Speed

Yes I know its illegal and I can find someone to do it but just wondering if I can do it myself. Can't be too complicated if there is an install guide. I'm thinking about getting the Viper system. I installed the Scorpio system on my bike and it has remote start, perimeter sensor, tilt sensor, and remote ignition kill system that I installed myself. Anyone ever have experience with installing remote start on a manual? I'm sure its a little tricky because you have to bypass the clutch somehow. Any help advice would be much appreciated

I have remote start on my 5 speed. The only thing is the e-brake has to be on. It's a compustar system. And the alarm is real touchy. Someone touches the car and my keyring thingy vibrates and the car beeps once. If someone tries to get in it goes insane. I love it. The system was 200 and install was 150

I knew I could count on you lol. They just recently outlawed remote starts to be installed in the US. Ppl kept leaving their cars in gear without the E brake and were accidentally starting their cars lol...saw it happen first hand but I've only ever driven a straight drive....do you know how difficult this would be to install myself since its hard to find someone to do it under the table?

I have no idea. I do know that my system will not start the car in gear. The keyring thingy informs me that it's in gear.

And honestly money talks. In the American economy right now folding cash will get you whatever you want. I don't think it would be tough. Go to a mobile electronics store and approach an installer.

awesome man thanks. I'll research this system and see what I come up with. Does it keep the remote trunk release as well?

Yup...and mine if you have a turbo it will let the car run for 5 minutes to let the turbo cool off before shut down. Also opens and closes the windows. Compustar is the name brand and they have various systems depending on budget

Yeah I was just reading about that. Hopefully there is a way to cut off the auto alarm feature bc when I'm washing my car and stuff like that or in and out of it a lot at the house doing something I don't wanna have to keep unlocking it lol

which system do you have?

I don't have the key with me to remember what the model number is but it was the best one they had...and you can shut off any feature. The auto lock can be shut off and there is a sensor on the window to adjust the sensitivity of the system itself
