1992 mustang 5.0 lx stage two turbo

Went to the track last night. Running slicks, tried launching at 5000 rpm's then at 3000 rpm's. Immediately falls on it's face. Then takes off like a rocket. Is that turbo lag or my driving?

What gears are you running? Auto or manual? And where's your peak torque? You pretty much want to launch at peak torque, maybe slightly higher.

3.73 gears. Manual 5 speed with short throw shifter. 4400 or 4500 peak torque.

I've never dealt with a turbo car, but maybe you would benefit from a higher RPM launch to help stay in boost. Only thing I can say is to keep trying higher until you reach your peak horsepower point or blow the tires off...

Shouldn't be too hard. (i know easier said than done) Spoll the turbo and feather it out. Sounds like the clutch work may be hurting u just a little. Lol?
