So I'm Officially A ''New Edge'' Owner!!

So my sister ended up trading her Explorer for the ol lady's '02 GT. Ended up she wanted the Explorer back, so she went ahead and bought it back from the GF. Her husband wanted my Vert, so I ended up trading my Vert for the '02 GT. It should make a good daily driver for me, and now we just have to find the GF a new car.
I may trade the '02 for a notchback in the future, but not sure yet. Here is a couple of pics all cleaned up......

I'm a little confused... but as long as everyone is happy.... I am also a little surprised, I thought I just read a post where you where going to keep both of your cars a long, long time... The New Edge GT will make a great daily driver...

Yep, if I don't trade it for a notch, gears, tuner, and nitrous are first.

You can convert that thing to a 5 speed pretty easily.

Nice bro. I am doing a flat black like that after this season over winter. How you like the handling. And dude these things just stock like that can handle a 75 wet shot forever. What's the handling difference, they feel more stable at 110-120 to me and even stock carve corners. Sucks on the auto tho but 4.10s will make up for that once you get moving. Nice car brother

I really do like the way the car drives and handles. The only thing that kills it is the auto. I'm hoping with a tuner and 4.10's it might be a bit better.
It's good for me though, having had two leg injuries on my left leg in the past, that dual friction clutch is rather stiff in the Vert, so just driving this one around should be a blast, and it's really not that slow at all. Overall, I'm happy with the swap. When I get bored, at least I know I can throw it up on CL and trade for a notch and just go wild with that.

The guy I bought it from originally said that it was a replacement hood and bumper, both OEM, so they do fit right. Said soeone backed a truck into it kinda sideways like. just broke the bumper and bent the hood, no structural damage at all. Homemade spray paint job, but it doesn't look too bad, just needs redone really. I love the flat black on the hood so that will stay.

The Cobra isn't going anywhere though. I'm married to it, but the other ones are my mistresses.

''New Edge'', is the bodystyle of the car. From '99-'04, that was Ford's codename for the Mustang.

Well, technically a design scheme of that time... They also did the new edge focus and a few other cars. But that's pretty much right

Yup. Technically still an SN-95 car, just with the "New Edge" styling.

I have the ol ladys old GT. She has money for a new car. She originally traded the GT for an explorer but she sold that. I traded the vert for the GT back, so its mine now. Yes the Cobra is still in the garage. No plans to get rid of that.
