New to deffrentials and gears

I wanna know everything about differentials and gears. I like to do my research before I go out and do my things. So any advice. This is a 2000 v6.

Professionals should handle this mod. I'm going to have 4.10s put in at a local shop for $300. I've done it before, but even though I'm a perfectionist, mine still whined a bit. Might have just been the gears though.

It's got the best gear calculator ever. All answers will be revealed. And 3.90 is the best 5 speed gear on a 2v

Go with 4.10's. My GT is an auto, and that's what I'm going with. General rule is 3.73 for manual cars, and 4.10 for autos. And like I said before, go with a PRO installation, and when you buy your gears, grab an installation kit so the installer doesn't have to charge you more for it, and you won't have to wait as long to get the job done.
