Who are the Mustang rivals in your city?

Hey there guys!
I've heard some Mustangers talking about having troubles with camaros or other with ricers, so I've seen in different cities we have different "nemesis" LOL!
Where I live Mustang and camaros live peacefully (of course there are some jerks) but normally is like "hello fellow pony owner" and it's common to just pass in front of another and nod or say hi, ricers normally respect a mustang and it's common to park next to one and the guy say "hey nice car dude" so no problem.

but on the other hand VW owners, golfs and very specially jettas normally try to outrace you, puting themselves in front of you, try to beat you to a turn or whatever stupidity, some times is funny because in a red light they stop next to you revving and you just try to not forget the grocery list you know? and sometimes you are in a party and some of them(even friends) come to you and say, hey cool car and then start to tell everyone how they just beat one mustang exactly like yours a week ago (it's a classic).
anyway how it is in your city?

I would like to say that ricers, camaros and even other Mustang owners. Big lifted trucks always have to show off too. I think everyone. Haha.

I would have to say anybody who doesn't drive a mustang, but I find mostly suv drivers are the worst.

Re: Who are the Mustang rivals in your city?

columbus ohio and surrounding known nemesis....

bobby rahals' son of "rahal/letterman racing" live here.. and he has a skyline gtr... nice kid... but omg his car is fast (over 600 horse)....

there are about 3 600hp supra guys i cant stand.

one guy who claims to have the fastest vette in columbus.. over 600hp..all motor... 700sumthing lift cam.. race fuel only...... capable of over 200mph ( i found out while we where in mexico..lol)

a couple of 300hp all motor integras.... power to weight is freakn nasty!!!

i think three 350hp tubo civics.... again.. power to weight ratio is nasty!!!

and one guy with a turbo ecotech boosted cavalier...almost 400hp.

i suppose they are rivals even though i hang out with them..

Re: Who are the Mustang rivals in your city?

Why would someone spend so much money of a Caviler? Those cars are terrible.

That's true hot rodding...taking the smallest car and shoving the biggest v8 engine you can in it, lol.

Re: Who are the Mustang rivals in your city?

In my area it's mostly hicks in their pickup trucks...Central Wisconsin ftw.

Overall, most of the other mustang owners are decent, and there really aren't too many camaros up here (very odd being chevy country).

There are plenty of teenagers with cheaper foreign and domestic 4 cylinders who race around like fools, which is always entertaining.

Re: Who are the Mustang rivals in your city?

no nemisis... Mustangs are the majority here in terms of popularity no one can touch them... any cruise in or event you go to 80% mustangs lol.

In terms of performance... always someone faster and someone slower... i learned a long time ago I really could care less.

Re: Who are the Mustang rivals in your city?

Big lifted diesels that blow black smoke in my window stopped behind them at a light. Hate those bastards! It was worse in my Vert.

There are a lot of lifted trucks here, a bunch of ricers, and more Mustangs than Camaros/Trans Ams.

I have to say in my area it seems to be more about the lifted diesel trucks and import cars more than anything.

In south houston its all about the lowered trucks and ricers
In pearland where im usually at I always get imports trying to be all badass and do the stupid fly bys, lol
and where I go to school in Pasadena its mainly imports but they are actually fast and can beat my baby so they don't really bother, lol

I would say in the D.C. Metro area its not bad with the other pony cars, its actually Acura TL owners and Prius drivers, and anyone who drives a ginormous SUV. lol

It Topeka, Kansas the major problem is Pontiac Grand Prix and 4 cylinder eclipses along with really crappy ricers. Camaro's talk but never walk. Lol.

Re: Who are the Mustang rivals in your city?

The majority around here are Mustangs Eclipses.............most people with an eclipse will respect the mustang and not challenge..though there are so many mustangs there are very few GTs or people that ever even drive them hard just older people mostly...if it's a younger person it's usually a girl in a V6...

but there's always the Honda Civic guys that like to pick a fight and just call your car out when there's is falling apart...

and of course we can't leave out the lifted trucks!!! haha I can't say much since I just got rid of mine but they're incredibly annoying around here....

Nothing but ricers here. They all put a fart can on the exhaust and instantly gain 50 hp. A few diesels.

I agree...our only nemesis is any other car on the road and the typical VA driver...when somebody is nice enough to let me in it is usually another mustang or camaro.

Re: Who are the Mustang rivals in your city?

I would mostly say Honda's like all of them. I've had one dude pass me, and slow down infront of me just to prove he could. So I returned the favor, he tried to do it again so I just kinda sorta went 25 miles over the speed limit. >.<

Anyway, I've never had any trouble with other mustangs.
