Like a chrome emblem for the hood scoop. Like the 302 performance emblem for the hood. By your response they don't make one. I guess I could have it painted on with pin stripping

Re: emblems

I wouldn't try to be fake and say it's something it's not. To me it would be like someone putting on a Cobra intake on a GT and saying their car was a Cobra.

A plain 302 emblem would be cool though.

Re: emblems

Not a fan of the fake badging either. Its more impressive to pop the hood and show em what you got.

See that's why I post stuff before I do it. You guys made some very good points. What about 302 high performance emblem. I would think the boss would make it high performance?

Re: emblems

I say below the radar a stick with what you have or you could some vinyl 302 stickers made in just a bit lighter shade of your car and put them on each side of the scoop. That way its there but doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

That's cool. Or black. I don't think black would stick out against my color. I don't know if I cold find a lighter gray of vinyl

Re: emblems

sticking emblems on a car ruins the looks if not done right, adding on extra generally is just not going to end up good

Re: emblems

I don't like stickers myself, but some 302 vinyl would probably be okay as long as you don't mind the stickers.

I don't think the bottom ones are bad but I'm all about keeping what it is. I don't like Cobra badges on anything other than a Cobra.

Ok you guys are right. I will just keep it the way it is. But I was thinking that those hood clips with the cables on them would be a cool look

If you want to drill holes in your hood and devalue your car worse than practically any other mod, go for it.
If you just like the looks, get some stick on ones.

Re: emblems

You do realize those aftermarket "302 High Performance" emblems do not weather well? This also applies to the "4.6" and related badges. I saw one like it on a 2009 Mustang and the thing looked like it had been in an acid bath.

Besides, putting "High Performance" on a Mustang is redundant and silly. You might as well add another badge that says "Goes Fast" while you're at it. No, go with the clean look, it's nicer.

Yes I like the clean look. So many mustangs owners love to put all kinds of stuff on the exterior it is so cliche to see all of those strips, scoops, and cludder all over the stang. All I will have on the exterior is the hood locks(just for looks) and the rear side lovers(gone in 60sec.type). Really low key. All of my $s goes to performance
