Question Engine Swap

i had a cool idea. dont know how practical it is but i would like to see or do it. how bout dropping a v10 into a mustang. its been done before on youtube but there isnt much on it. has anyone else thought of this? make it a cobra srgt500 lol

Still working out a few kinks before it gets raced. It is 100% stock. Has good low end torque and can blow the tires off, but I'm not too sure if its ever going to be fast. The engine has a very narrow operating range.

wonder if it would be better if he built it up a little. i dont know much about the v10s so what is it that limits its operating range?

Oh I'm sure it would be. I don't know how much aftermarket support they have though. They weren't really loved in the truck community. I'm sure some cams/valvetrain upgrades would make a tremendous difference and let it rev out some.

i found this. http://www.compcams.com/Technical/Ca...2007/pdf/3.pdf dont know the price but they said they can custom grind cams for these engines. might look into it if he has the money for it. id be interested to see what happens

He was my friend first.

He also has a complete junkyard at his disposal...which definitely made the swap easier. It's not for the faint of heart, and honestly isn't the best setup out there.
