Clear 3M Bra's, input needed

On my 2011 Edge I want to get the front end, rockers, door handles, and rear area etc done. Anyone have one any information towards this? It will be a 3M brand wrap 8mil thick~ just wondering how they hold up and how they wear wtih bugs on them and such~ if its just as bad looking a the paint over time etc?

Re: Clear 3M Bra's, input needed

There's a guy I know who did it to his impala. He had the 3M on for a few years, took care of it, it held up nicely. He did say you could see the faded portion of the hood where the bra didn't cover when real close. Keep in mind his car sat outside enduring sun exposure a lot and it is a black car so you could probably see the faded portion much easier than on a red car.

FyI I have it installed on my car it's amazing and you can actually wax over it to add additional uv protection. And the entire kit for the 5.0 is 187.00 on eBay I installed it myself it's extremely tedious work and very time consuming requiring a **** tun of patience it took me 6hours. Rated at a 4th job but I've never done it before. The kit on eBay comes with video instructions which helps alot. Checkout my post under new ride let me know if h have any questions it's already saved my paint 3 times. It will take a 1/4" rock at 120mph without breaking threw and hitting your actual paint and its warranted for 5yrs through 3m. I have it on front bumper, both front fenders, first 18" of hood side mirrors, door jams (womans heels, and retards), door hands and cups look at pics it's invisible lol

Re: Clear 3M Bra's, input needed

im still not sold on it, I wont be doing it myself as a pro will get better results and a better fit as some of it will have to be custom for my application.. so 1200+ for it or I can just get a couple chips and paint it later on hmmm
