This is going to be the future of the mustang. Ford is looking at mpg and the sleek body design with the new 5.0 with be killer. But this also gives them a platform to compete with chevy with their camaro v6 and the design with 4 cyl turbo could catch the eyes of these racers. But this is my opinion

If the mustang is going to last another 50 years a dramatic change is going to happen.

I'd love to see the SVO brought back. Would be awesome to have a fast mustang that gets close to 30mpg in the city. Not to mention they would cover more of the market having a turbo 4, v6 and v8.

That was my theory too it would set ford and the mustang got the years to come and give these import tuners a run for their money with an American car beating the a$$es on all their fronts.

the one jack posted looks pretty decent, still don't really like how much of a downward curve the front end has but its way better than the OP

I think this ford needs yo be dramatic with this and do a mustang that will stun everyone from all platforms and generations. If they keep the headlights and taillights. And make the body like that of the edge. They could pull it off. But if they miss the mark it winds ip lilt the mustang ll back in the day.

Not for me. Looks like they tried to hard. If someone gave me one I'd be all over it but it just doesn't say Mustang to me. Maybe it will grow on me.

Mustang, meet The Transformers. It's as if Chevy, Dodge, & Ford are on a mission to make cars look like sporty 2 seaters similar to what GM did with the camaros back in the day. Thumbs down from me.

I didnt like the 2010 and up tail lights either.....but they grew on me. Now when I look at the 05-09 tail lights they look big, flat and bulky.

That's EXACTLY why I like em. I'm an old school vibing kind of guy though. I love classic lines and an old school feel with a new school twist. I felt like the mustangs went through kind of a soccer mom sporty car there for a bit. Now I feel as though for is making over the mustangs to look similar to the Camaro.

Re: 2014 or so Mustang?

I still like the 05-09 alot but wish it had that rear 1/4 body line and little flair like the 2010-2012 does. I also noticed after lowering it that it looks way more streamlined and hunkered down to the ground compared to the 05-09s. I used the same FRPP springs as I did on the 07 and there is a huge difference in looks. It looks alot lower with the rear body lines it looks wider and like it hugs around the rear tires. Its hard to explain, they did a great job on the body making it almost look like its one with the pavement and fast while standing still. Again,I never looked at it this way until I put the wheels on and dropped it.

In looking at your picture, I'll agree with your explanation. The only downside is I'm not able to afford one myself right now. Nice ride, sir.

But think about it if they threw the 2010 and 2011 stlye in for 2005 pepople be s****ing bricks. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the '14 sometimes photos don't do things justice. Thus far it's okay.
