Check it out!

Before and after pictures of my door slits, I put the girl friend and I to work tonight and painted the letters in to match my car... I'm pleased with the outcome on a free day I recommend anyone to do this!

What kind of paint did you use?? Was it hard I've been thinking about doing mine too but just haven't got around to try it.. Do you have to take them off to paint them or did you just paint them while attached? Spray paint or with a brush? You got some pictures? Sorry for the 21 questions I just enjoy the projects that can be done on a cheap budget in free time keeps me occupied and from spending money on other things haha

Re: Check it out!

haha its cool dude

i just painted them on, overall jacking up the car, taking off my rims, taping off the rotors/covering the wheel wells, and then painting them took about 7 hours.

I just used special caliper spray paint that you can get at any autoparts store for like $7, basically its just heat resistant paint. It normally come in black, dark blue, red, yellow, and silver

Overall its really easy its just time consuming to do it right, just make sure you follow the directs on the can such as cleaning the rotor before with degreaser, I also then wiped that off with a cloth (just use an already somewhat dirty one cuz its gunna get dirty), then i hit each one with a wire brush drill piece, and then tape off the area and paint, then wait about an hour to take off the tape and put back on ur rims so u don't mess up the paint job, then don.t drive ur car for 3 hours after to give the paint time to dry.

and thats pretty much it just pm or post on her if u have any other questions.

Oh and ill have pics of it up tomorrow in a thread I have in the general discussion section.

I just sprayed some spray paint into the lid outside then came inside with a thin paint brush dipped it and got as much paint as I could at once then filled the letters in. The trick is to fill the paint brush up with paint and then just let it run out to fill the letters
