Neighbor down the street(sick svt cobra...)

So, to start out, I had a friend that I knew was moving, heard he was staying in the city so I didn't ask where. I was talking to a friend a few days ago and he mentioned matt moved in to my neighborhood. I was talking to matt, and he mentioned where he lived. I had noticed a nice stock looking SVT cobra a few weeks ago, and I asked him if that was his. His stepdad owned it and all he knew was that it was fast and that it wasn't stock at all...

I was driving home earlier today, and I noticed matt and his stepdad standing outside, so I stopped and got some details on the stang...

16psi turbo
91 octane tune
Replica 10.5s in back with MT radials
And other stuff that doesn't really matter.. All of this gave him around 750hp at the wheels, daily driven.
Oh, and the last time he hit the strip, 11.2 @ 128, with 4.30 gears on a manual car, so he couldn't even stay in the boost that long either.. He guesses he'll be hitten 10.9ish @140 after he swaps gears for 3.55s and a nice auto.. So freakin jealous

not bad lookin. thought his times would be a little higher. mine will do it around 12.5 sec. i havent taken the new motor in mine to the track yet but my old motor did 12.5. and my new motor puts out more horses so i should be able to get closer to 12 even. i have 3.73 gears in the rear end

true. but he also was on a track. the track grips your tires better than the street. what im guessing is he doesnt hit boost until high rpm and he puts out max hp at a really high rpm. therefor he doesnt get much time in his horsepower band. just a guess. and it dont matter. thats a clean stang

Yeah... But who knows, with some 3.55s he may hit 10.5s... We'll have to see...

Yeah. I'm personally not a fan of autos in a muscle car but whatever floats his boat

Yeah... He's reluctant to do it... But a good built auto would be alright. And it beats having to get another car if his wife can't drive his.

Re: Neighbor down the street(sick svt cobra...)

Sounds like he's spending his money in the wrong spot...just like me...he needs to install the driver mod. 750 rwhp should be low 10's. There are lesser cars running low 10's with a stick out there.

He also has 4.30 gears and a big turbo... He cant stay on the boost long enough to get good times. Even shifting badly, he should get over 128mph.

Re: Neighbor down the street(sick svt cobra...)

It also seems to me that hes putting an auto in it for track times. With 4.30's in a manual, thats not staying in boost long. With lower gears and an auto itd have way better times...Theoretically

750HP doesn't mean anything off the dyno.
