Awesome! Ordering mine right after my PI intake manifold swap! Should be completed here in about 3 weeks.

Re: sct flash tuner

I'm not doing the whole swap. Dont have that much money. Im just doing the PI intake manifold swap. You still get a lot of power for the price, and when you add the tuner and normal bolt ons it really helps wake the car up. If you are low on cash you should look into the swap. Its easy to do yourself. Just go to blueovalchips.com and check it out. You can also look throught the tech articles at americanmuscle.com and they have a complete walk through.

Re: sct flash tuner

You have to get a lot more then just the manifold. Check out the kit I mentioned before. Its like $370 for everything you need. Its a pretty straight forward swap. Everyone I have talked to about it says its really simple.

Re: sct flash tuner

When you order the kit you can select an option to have them drill a tap for the second sensor. You also need to select the option for the Thermostat housing/water outlet. Our car has the housing/outlet facing towards the coil. The PI has the housing/outlet facing straight out. The kit even comes with the new radiator hose you will need.

Are these the two temp gauges they are talking about? There is one bye the alternator pass side and there is one by thermostate driver side?

Re: sct flash tuner

You can tell by which direction the water outlet points. If you are looking at it from the front and it points straight down toward the front then its a PI, if it is turned towards the coil then its a non PI. Hope that makes sense.lol

Re: sct flash tuner

I tried loading up pics but I'm having computer issues. If you have a 98 gt I can pretty much say that you don't already have a PI manifold swap though.

To tell if your car has a PI intake, look behind your alternator, if you can see space between your intake and motor, you don't have the PI intake.

On a side note, I have a predator tuner and it did a lot for my car with just the canned tune. Also I am planning on doing the PI intake and cams after I get my 3.73s in.

Yeah makes sense. But im thinking about getting a new crate engine to put in my 98. My dad knows the cope brothers and we are going to see what we can do instead of a pi swap

Yeah, I mean I couldn't Really blame You. My car being NPI with the predator runs Really really good. I Have easily kept up with PI cars. Keep in mind PI heads &intake on an NPI shortblock actually gives you more HP than a PI motor does stock...

Re: sct flash tuner

My tuner is scheduled to be delivered today! I have all these parts sitting in my dining room waiting to be installed. I'm taking the day off work tomorrow to install everything. I'm not getting a head swap or a motor swap but I'm still completely stoked to do everything at once. PI intake manifold swap,CAI, Radiator and hoses, 180 Termo, mufflers, mach 1 chin spoiler, and my sct tuner with a 87,89,and 93 tune. Its gonna be awesome.

I'm also taking the day off tomorrow...feeling "sick" so have to call in to work. I've been waiting for a month to install Shorty headers, X-Pipe, remove CAT's, CAI and the Tune! Supposed to be Isolated T-Stroms tomorrow...screw it and screw mother nature, it's getting done whether my friend/mechanic likes it or not! Rain, snow, shine, whatever!

So, how did your work come out?

Yes and no.

While car a is tuned, the tuner is locked down to that car. If you return car a back to stock, then the tuner is freed and you can tune car b with it as long as it has the same computer code as car a.

Not at the same time. Like already said, you'd have to return car A back to stock to "unlock" the tuner for use on car B. You cannot tune A and B at the same time. And obviously the tuner has to be written for same vehicle type, and also computer code, as already stated. Do you understand?
