4.10 gear upgrade?

I have a 2010 gt , bassani ax back I'm getting a jtl intake and sct dyno tune and chip. Do I really need the 4.10 gear rather then my stock 3.73?

Car has a hard of enough time getting traction as is. Do you really want it to never get traction? Those new v8s move

Re: 4.10 gear upgrade?

I've had 4.10s in my Cobra and my 07 GT....loved em. They are alot of fun but you have to keep in mind what your future plans will be. Are you going to supercharge your car and if so with what? A twin screw or a centri? Are you gonna keep it NA? I have 3.73s now and they are fine with me,for now.

If I put on a twin screw I will stay with the 3.73s,centri or NA then it will be 4.10s for sure. 4.10s are so much fun and get you into the power band faster but will hurt you if you aren't careful and know exactly what you want out of the car. If you have no plans of a supercharger in the near future then go for it.
