opinions on lights

So I just finished doing the conversion for running fog lights with out headlights being on or parking lights. I curently have really bad looking fog lights and I was wondering what I should do. Should I get 3k hids or 6k hids? I currently have 8k hids in my headlights.

Re: opinions on lights

I would probably do something like 4000 kelvin, only go with 3000k if you want them to be yellow, which is fine if thats what you want. But I would go with 6k personally although yellow would look legit since I'm assuming ur foglights are in ur bumper since you have a 98.

6k you will probably have to change out ur headlights since the kelvin levels will not match probably, I'm not sure what ur headlights are at now, kelvin wise that is.

Re: opinions on lights

they recommend you say 35 watter on fogs vs 55 watt. I just put 6k 55watt lights in my wife's edge from ddmtuning and they look really good

I was thinking yellow 3k but since I dis my conversion I was thinking on running fog only and putting in 6k but who thinks my headlights with 8000k would look good with 3000k or 6000k fog lights?

Re: opinions on lights

Re: opinions on lights

I have 6000k on the fogs & 5000k HID's on the headlights. Fogs are DEFINITELY bright so I only use both sets of running lights at the same time on pitch black back country roads. I'd be blinding EVERYONE if I used both sets of lights all of the time. 5000k HID dual beams are where it's at IMO.

Well so are you... Its foglight color. It's all opinion based. Put what you want on. Foglight color isn't that big of a deal to get all pissed off about. And besides this is a mustang forum. Not congress.

I have yellow fogs with 6000k heads. I personally like the two different colors but someone told me it looked cheap. But in my personal opinion I like it. Kinda contrasts each other

That's what I like. The different colors. But I don't know how it would look with the 6000k in fogs and 8000k heads. Have you done the running fog light conversion

I think the year of Mustang you're driving looks great with those yellow HID's. Wonder if you can color match something else on your car with yellow to make your lights really pop?

Don't go totally bananas on the color scheme but I think SOMETHING to match the lights won't look bad.
