looking to buy a fox :D

my dad and I are wanting to buy a fox body mustang and fix it up. He wants one before they were direct injected. I know nothing about this era of mustang though, so I was lookin for some advice on here...

yea i think it was 86, fox bodies used to be sold for far more than they were worth just FYI its not going to be easy to find one for a good price in good shape but they to exist.

Anything 85 and before will have a carburetor 86-93 is all fuel injected

Technically, they were never direct injected.....but they were carbureted prior to 1986

If you are seriously looking to find an old fox body pre EFI, to either restore or build up, your best bet would be to look for one in the southern states. They would likely have little or no rust on the chassis. Also, don't limit your search to just V8's. You may be able to find one cheap with a four or six cylinder and just transplant engine of your choice later. That is if you have the experience and know how. Wish I could do the same with an old 67 Fastback myself! Good luck to you. Hope this was helpful. Keep us posted of your progress should find what your looking for...
