Driver Door Ajar Message

So my display all of a sudden is telling me that the driver door is still ajar when I know the door is closed. I have LSD lambo door hinges installed on it, not sure if the sensor is in the hinge or the latch assembly. The weird thing is the windows go up and down when the door opens and closes which would lead me to believe that the switch is still working fine.

I have been doing a little research and some people have said to spray wd40 in the latch assembly so that's what I'm going to try. Any other suggestions would be so grateful. And if someone can tell me where exactly the sensor may be that would be awesome because I still have yet to find that information out.

Thank you!!

What style door ajar switch do you have? Is it the push button style?

It is like a push button. Unless I have it installed in the latch assembly wrong, I have no idea why I'm having such a hard time.

If anyone can provide instructions on how I can completely remove the door latch assembly? I got everything off of it except for the cable leading from the exterior door handle.

That's what the display under the speedo is telling me. Do you think a wire got crossed, in the lambo door install, and it could be the passenger door or trunk ajar switch?

If you unplug the switch the door ajar light should go off

I would disconnect the switch and check continuity to ground sound like you have a short to ground

Re: Driver Door Ajar Message

Finally got the car back from the dealership yesterday. It ended up being a frayed wire under the passenger side dash. Some wire that connects to a control box. I would've never been able to figure that one out on my own.
