Hell the 2010 with the 315hp 4.6L was often chosen over the 426hp Camaro when it came out because it was a well rounded car and much more enjoyable as the Camaro was only good in a straight line, not to mention you can't see out the damn thing.

I like the 2011's. I think they are well refined and impressive out of the factory. Initially the tailights were an eyesore to me as well, but they've grown on me...a black decklid insert and some tint overlays solves the problem.

Up here you really don't see that many +2010's. There are a ton of 05-09's, and a few rough looking sn95's and new edges. I have the only sonic blue 99-04 in a 30 mile radius. The closest thing is a Mystichrome Cobra (drool) owned by a 60 yr old lady that owns a card shop, lol.

Awe I would love to see that lil old lady in that Cobra!

One thing about the Camaros that I dislike are the massive pillars. I wouldn't be able to see anything!

I've met her and she's real nice...best part is she's real knowledgeable about the car...specs, history, it's great. She had a few classic stangs back in the day.

Her shop is connected to the Ford dealership. The building used to be a Kmart and the local Ford shop bought it and reconstructed it into a showroom/office/service and body shop. She bought the Cobra there new (bone stock to this day) and only drives it on bright sunny days.

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

I love all Mustangs

When I first saw the 2010 I was just taken by the aggresive front end of it....and of course the first one I saw was grabber blue so that was a plus....as far as the taillights........I hear a lot of people(most of you) not liking them and I have never had a problem..I think it works well with the rest of the car and just helps finish off the look...

as far as the 2014 model.....we all just have to wait and see

I thought about trading in my 09 gt for a 5.0 but they don't have vista blue anymore and I just don't like the new rear end.

I absolutely love the '10 and up stangs! The stance is just menacing, and the rear end just nailed it for the whole retro genre! The front end looks exactly like an old boss 429 and the rear brings it all together with the sleek lines of the new age! Personally, I think that the new body style is just as beautiful as the fox body style and I'm not too sure about everything in-between! Don't get me wrong, I love them all because they are what they are but their just not as sexy as the fox and the new style!

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

The word on the street is Ford will be dropping the ecoboost 4 cylinder into the '14 claiming almost 300hp. Considering where gas prices are going to end up, this may not be a bad thing. Would I own one, no - too much of a gearhead.

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

My brother had a 80 GT, black/black, turbo I4, 4 speed.... It handled great, looked really nice and except for some turbo lag, ran like a champ. My cousin had a 79 GT with a V8 and the 80 could hand kick it's butt, especially on the twisties...

Don't make negative assumptions about what a turbo 4 Mustang might be like... if they lighten the car up, it could be awesome...

I'd go for a turbo 4......depending on how much stock HP/TQ was and weight would be a huge factor.

I would but... The engine would have to be bulletproof for me to consider it. They just wouldn't have the potential like you have with a big v8. Maybe a turbo 6, but in the end, a turboed 4 is good for a nice light civic, but with the weight would be inadequate.

Like, my friend has a supercharged civic si. It makes 312fwhp with 9 psi. It's really fast because it weighs nothing, but put it in the heavy stang, and well... Expect the exact same performance and less gas mileage. So ford needs to either, 1. Lighten the hell out of it, or 2. Make the engine ridiculously strong so you can put a 15+ psi turbo on it with few problems.

I don't think any future mustang will beat the look of the new edge but I may be biased. Another reason I refuse to get rid of my 04 V6.

The new mustangs are also great. And I would love one if I could afford it. I actually love the rear ends. The cars are simply beautiful inside and out, hood open or closed. Having on in my rear view gets my heart pumping. It looks so aggressive, almost telling you to get the **** out the way.

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

personally i find it wrong to put a turbo 4 into a american muscle car that has always had a v8. i dont want to ever see mustangs driving around with fart cans on them whether they are fast or not. its just not right
