Dissapointed in the new mustangs

I'm really dissapointed in the new mustangs. They don't look as good as the camaro or challenger. Has anyone seen what the new 2014 looks like? Something to see...

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

well I REALLY REALLY hate to bust the bubble but NO ONE knows what the 2014 will actually look like, all the images you are currently seeing are just people trying to come up with BS images to get people to view them~ its not what it will actually end up like... no one knows yet

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

I'd much rather have a 2011 Mustang than a Challenger or Camaro. To each their own though.

I think they look better and perform better. I'll never own a Dodge or Chrysler car anyways (with the exception of a Viper). The only Camaro I'd consider owning would be a classic or a 3rd gen.

It's just a concept for now. We shall see.

I was reading that the Camaro was a more attractive car and I must disagree when it comes to the '10+ 'Stangs. I think Ford did great with the current model. I like Camaros, Challengers, etc. But the Mustang is a way more attractive car... I could be biased. :p

i'm not a fan of anything 05 or newer...the whole retro look to me is ugly. Leave the originals alone.

Now an old IROC i'd be all over.

Challengers are bulky and slower but I like them too nonetheless. I can appreciate a nice car.

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

the camaro looks ok.... but waited far to long and falls way to short on style AND workings (driving experience seems to suck for many buyers)

the challenger... its just a heavy slow pig... its gotten far better but its HUGE far far to big... caters to the older person market it seems.

The Mustang is just the best of all worlds.

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

The challenger wins in styling alone...hands down. Total dog in the performance category...which is why I will probably own one in the next year or two (at least, the wife to be will own it).

The camaro looks and performs like a steaming pile of excrement.

The Mustang doesn't look bad, but doesn't look great either. I appreciate what they were trying to do with the 05+ mustangs, but, I just don't think it works.

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

I don't care for 05-09 but they started getting it right in 2010. I don't even mind the rear end, like most people seem to hate.

When the 2010's first came out, I didn't much care for the back end either. But I eventually noticed that looking at the car in person and up close is much different than looking at pictures in a magazine or online. There's something about the whole car that just doesn't translate well to pictures. After seeing one in person I was hooked. Absolutely love it.

The rear end of the new Mustangs grew on me and now I love the new ones. When it first came out I wanted to know what Ford was thinking when they designed it. I like it now, especially when they turn on the turn signals. Sequentials, FTW!

Mine stands out, too.

Haven't seen my clone around. I may be the only modded SB in town now.

i remember when it was 94-98 that were everywhere, and you actually saw clean Fox Bodies on the road regularly lol... now the 99-04s are starting to be come fewer and fewer and of course you see 05-09s EVERYWHERE now lol

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

I Like the new cars , they look great , the only part of the 10 up car that isn't great is the tail lights ,but to me its not that bad ...
the front end is very aggresive ,the body lines are right ,the cars awesome ..
and the 05 - 2009 is perfect

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

I love the 05+ stangs...and I think the 10+ stangs look even better. unlike most I also like the back part of it.

The challenger wins without a doubt though for best looking. It may be too big, but it looks incredible. Performance is a whole other area though.
My mom has a 2011 camaro SS. I dont like it. 'nuff said.

I'm not sure what I think of the 2014 stangs yet. I'm very excited to hear about a lighter stang with a better interior, but I HATE the idea of a turbo four cylinder

Re: Dissapointed in the new mustangs

I didnt like the rear of the 2011 at first but it grew on me.When I first realized how much I liked is right after I lowered it and saw it from behind.Unlike the 05-09 when dropped, the car just looks like its sucked down to the ground, like it is one with the pavement. The rear 1/4s have that flair and makes the rear end look fatter. You cant see this in a magazine pic or on the interweb....its totally different in person.Ford did a excellent job with the body lines,IMO.
