Looks pretty good to me. A v6 in goo condition with high 80k miles goes for 8k in my area, 10750 doesn't look too bad at all. Most likely you could get it down to 10k even. If you consider it, make sure you get it checked by a mechanic though to make sure there are no hidden problems

Re: I need opinions..02 GT like new!

thats not too bad because of the miles. but you could find a cheaper one with a little more miles but i dont think you will find a cobra for 10 you might find a mach though idk its a little much for me because its just a gt but if the miles are important to you then its probley a good deal

low mileage and looks like its in great condition. Blue book private value in Good condition with 36k miles is $10,300. sounds like a good deal to me.

Re: I need opinions..02 GT like new!

It looks like a real clean car, but pics only go so far, best to see it in person...and if you're not too familiar with engines or cars in general, have someone who is that you trust to go with and check it out.

You're not going to find a N/A Cobra for the miles even close for that price. Most I see around 9-10k have 70-90k miles. You probably won't find a Mach 1 either for 10 unless it's been through the mill. I looked at one in Milwaukee at a dealership for 12k...let's just say 12k was way too much for that car given the condition it was in, worst part was it was an azure blue 5spd

I'd say 10k for that GT would be a fair price. If it really is that clean then you're getting a great car. Sure, the GT power isn't much compared to the Mach's and Cobras, but a few go fast mods, a short throw and some gears would make it a nice street car. You'd be faster than a good amount of cars on the road.

Plus Laser Red is a *****in color to have...just don't smack it up, it'll be expensive to fix as I think LR is a tintcoat.

Yeah it's in excellent condition the only and only bad there is is that he changed the front right fender and passenger door because someone hit his parked car..besides that it is just like new.
I offered him $9500 today hes supposed to get back to me tomorrow.

Re: I need opinions..02 GT like new!

That's a good offer...he might counter with 10500 or 10250 so I'd be ready to meet him half way at 10000-10250 if you are willing to spend that much and really want the car. Just don't let him pressure you into a price that you're not comfortable with. There are plenty of other cars out there...it's still a buyer's market.

Check the body lines where that fender and door were replaced...if the gaps between the 2 are far off, then something else may have been affected in the "fender bender". Also check the gap between the fender and the hood. If they aren't fairly straight or even with the other side than the fender may not be aligned/positioned properly or there might be some alignment issues in the front end that were never fixed.

I'd make sure it has a clean title. R titles can bring down the value.

That is why it is always a good idea to have someone who knows his stuff to check things out.

My bro-in-law gave $8800 for his 02 GT with 62k miles on it. Paint was perfect, car was in excellent condition. Set your budget and search. If you're reasonable you will find a great deal out there! Good luck and good job checking this car out so thoroughly.

Thanks man. Both were bought in the last 7 months and both were less than 9k with taxes and everything. You can find a great price on a used stang, just gotta be patient and know exactly what you want.
