engine fitment

Would a 4.6l from a 2009 fit my 98?

Its the same size block. The heads and intake are the main differences between the two.

I've never owned either but I'm sure you would need a new harness and computer that matches a 3v. maybe motor mounts and headers... But idk really, these are just questions I'd ask

new wiring harness and pcm. you will lose a few funcions unless you mod things yourself. like rpm gauge. the clusters are different and you cant use the cluster ot of an 09 cause it wont fit. and honestly if you do the pi and a few other mods. the 09 3v isnt really all that much faster ( for the cost of you trying to swap one in) you would have better luck at trying to drop in a cobra motor. they fit the same and the pcm from one will work in your car just fine.. your gonna spend a great deal of money trying to get that 3v engine in your car

Oh gotcha. Thanks bone. Im just so up ib the air. So head cams intake manifold also long tube headers new throttle body. What would the hp gain be close or in the 300s? With a supercharger?

Heads cam intake and a professional tune should get you close.
Add a supercharger and you can get close to 400 maybe a little more

Muscle Mustang just did a 2 valve build up with tfs heads .cams ,and intake and got around 460 NA Hp / pretty stout

i read it, and omg, thatsa awsome set-up. but is it cheaper to build that or drop on centri with a micro pulley and a giant intercooler?

Yeah that's awesome but howw does non pi engine have 260 from the start? I want to bore mine out im going to my dads buddies shop tuesday swei g what they can di and for how much
