Upgrading FROM a V6 TO a V6? Keep yours. For 3-4k more you could have an 03/04 cobra...why pay 14k for just another v6?

+1

Ya I would definitely get the v8. For 14k, you can pick up a very nice 2v GT, a decent 3v GT, or a Mach 1 or n/a cobra. For a little bit more a terminator

The 05-09 v6's aren't that much faster than the 99-04's. They are more refined and the interiors are nicer, but the 4.0 is still yards behind the v8's.

Re: My search for my upgrade car

Depends on how much you could get for ur current car. If your not lookin for a v8 then I would get it but I would haggle on the price a bit, just cuz of how customized they have made it. I personally hate Halo's for example. And yes I would get rid of the 20inch rims too. And ask him if he has the receipt for them, to show there original value. Then u can use that to sell them on craig's list once u pick up a new set or rims they r more fitting for a mustang.

+1!!! I would never get rid of my car for another v6. Thats a lot of money for something that isnt much quicker than yours. You could at least get a mach 1 for that price. I thought you wanted another gt?

I would love to get into a GT but this car is in such good shape. I couldn't find a scratch on it. So well maintained. All maintenance records are there. It looks like a brand new car inside and out. And the 33k extra miles of warranty is real nice. Not making a hasty decision though. I do realize I could be in a nice V8 for the same price. It's just something to think about.

How is your car running? I remember is had some overheating issue. But if your car runs good, id just keep it. I keep wanting to get rid of mine for a gt every few months, but i keep telling myself to save. Now i have a solid down payment and once i graduate in the spring, ill be shelby shopping

Even though this v6 might be in real good shape and you'd probably be getting a solid car, I'm 99% sure you'd be wanting that v8 down the road.

Remember, a newer, nicer v6 is still another v6...the v8's are a whole different breed of animal

The 04 is running great. I'll be holding on to her for a while. Gonna keep my eyes open for a nice deal on something used and if nothing comes up I'll just continue to save til I can get a brand new one
