Rear end in 1994 mustang V6

Did the 94 mustang v6 have an 8.8 rear or a 7.5 rear?

Spec is correct All the years 94-10 have the 7.5" rear with the open differential. I believe the 2011's have a 7.5" but have the traction lok stock.

A stock 8.8" from a GT or Cobra will bolt up on your v6.

Re: Rear end in 1994 mustang V6

Keep in mind the gear sizes are different to. Gears for an 8.8" rear will only fit an 8.8". There are separate gears available in 3.73 and 4.10 specifically for the 7.5" rear.

A set of 3.73's from a v6 car won't work in a GT.
