New Vert Hard top availble for 99-04

from smoothline.com

still not nearly as nice as the one back in 95 they offered but its far better than anything else on the market. I am not going to get one just thought it was interesting.

I don't get the point of it. You'd have to stop to take it off instead of being able to do it while rolling slow...you'd be screwed if you were topless and then it started raining as there's no way you're transporting that thing with you.

I could be wrong but that just sits on the body right? If it's not on you can still use the convertible top, right? It's just a hard top to give you the best of both world.

What benefit do you get from having a hard top vs a soft top when the hard top is not part of the car's body? The only benefit a coupe has over a vert is the extra regidity from the hard top.

Looks I guess would be the only advantage. If I had a vert I'd would like to have one.

the only benefits would be looks and sealing off better~ more insulation perhaps~ but nothing else and looks is subjective but most agree a vert with the top up does not look as good a coupe.
