Like just an open intake hole? No air filter?
No cause then dirt and debris will get in your engine

Re: 2002 mustang

There's a filter on there for a reason partner...I'd keep that horsey powered down till you get a new filter on the end of that tube...no sense in chancing a blown engine over something like that.

Yeah, that's technically fine... Just make sure the filter stays sealed so air that's unfiltered doesn't get it.

+1. I wont even take the intake off to spray ether into it if i have a fuel problem. Any dirt or debris is gonna cause unnecessary wear on the engine.
