Look up James Henson @ Henson performance he is the best tuner I have ever met, he also has a dyno so he can explain. His number is 531-0598

Re: tune?

when they send you a tune over e-mail its all guess work. If he has it up on the dyno he's got the car right in front of him so he can change little things here and there and get the most out of it. I'll never put any kind of tune on my car that isn't made for my car and my car only. Most good tuners will dyno tune it then road tune it.

Re: tune?

if you already have a tuner normally its around 500 for the first tune and then 250 if you keep going back after you do other things. Either way he's gonna start the tune over even if you already have one

Re: tune?

however long it takes them to put your car on the dyno, strap it down, hook up their computer and your tuner, then however many runs they do and the mad scientist works his magic on the computer...mine took about 4hrs

Re: tune?

An email tune is not going to give you the end result you want 99% of the time. Tuning a car is not as simple as saying I want X timing and BAM your done. Its much harder than that. You want a reliable tuner that knows not only how to tune the car but keep it safe.

With a built motor you want a real tune, and Henson performance in Huey Town, Alabama does good work. Tell him SouthernStangs Mustang Club told you to contact him.

Re: tune?

I agree with USAF_stang, "Custom" Tunes done on your car itself is better, when Mustang Specialties did my Tune, there was three or four different Tunes before they desided on which one they would program in to keep. I was glad of that, ir showed be the diffrences and which had the Best HP and Best Torque Setup. Now that particular Tune has it's own name, listed and saved in my Tuner.

Re: tune?

I wouldnt let someone out of state tune my car due to if updates are needed or tweeks you cant just drive back down so easily.
