opinions on clone cars

I live in a town where there is literally 12 black mustangs, 4 of which are trying to make termi clones. Is it just around here or do you have people in your community trying to copy something its not? If so what are your opinions?

I hate clone cars, people tell me to make my V6 look like a GT or a GT500. I like my car the way it is, not what it is not.

Re: opinions on clone cars

If your not gonna do it the right way then there is no point to do it

There is a v6 with cobra emblems around where I live and I hate the woman for doing that, its like who are you trying to fool

Ive even heard of someone trying to sell a v6 as a cobra because it had the body kit and emblems

+1. I'm fine with everything except putting badges that don't correspond to the car.

Re: opinions on clone cars

the only answer that matters: do what ever you like as long as its legal

My opinion: Keep badges, lettering, anything that says its something that its not off the car, other than that have fun

Never liked clones. The real deal is always better.

I really don't mind if someone has a clone, as long as they don't have the emblems on it then it's ok. It should have an emblem that shows what it really is.

Re: opinions on clone cars

The real deal is always better, but Mustangs have always been personal- make it YOURS. Not many Mustangs get through life without being modified in some way.

That being said, nothing makes me more irritated than to see some clapped out 6-banger with Cobra emblems all over it.

Re: opinions on clone cars

I don't like clones at all....your car is your car and you can do what you want but I think you should make it something original not try to copy something else.....now I have seen a V6 that they put a Cobra kit on it and on the side under the snake it said "INSPIRED" underneath which is okay since they weren't claiming they had a cobra and they didn't just slap badges on it.
