What tire should I go with?

I have been looking for a good performance tire for my '11 mustang but don't want to break the bank. I'm looking to run 285/30R20 on the rear so I've been looking at three tires. Vredestein Sessantan [1], Nitto NT555 [2] and Falken 452 [3]. I've read the good and the bad but wanted to hear it from some on here who have run these tires and have suggestions and experiences.

[1] VREDESTEIN TIRE ULTRAC SESSANTA Size 285/30-20 - Starting from $264.00 Featuring Black Side Walls and Free Warranty - Tires from Performance Plus Tire
[2] Nitto NT555
[3] Tires - FK452 - Falken Tire

Do not use the vredstiens. I didnt like them at all. The falkens are alright but i run the 555s and love them more than any other tire ive tried, other than drag radials. Hook pretty well and when having fun sliding they are very predictable

Re: What tire should I go with?

+ Nittos

Falkens are good, and a bunch cheaper. I have had really good luck with General Tire's Exclaim UHP. They are now called Grabber UHP. They perform well and are really reasonable. Just be aware that there are a lot of Chinese-made tires out there- some good, some not. Look long and hard at tires like Capitol, NEXEN, Federal, Triangle, etc.

I've never heard anything bad about any nitto tire. That's going to be my next brand of tire.

The nitto or falken.

What about the Continental Extreme Contacts?
Continental ExtremeContact DW

or the all season version of the Extreme Contacts
Continental ExtremeContact DWS

The general UHPs are rather hard for my taste to buy again but good for a DD. I'm running KDW2s and would rebuy in a heartbeat.

Re: What tire should I go with?

I'm running Dunlap on my Camaro and Nexxon on my Mustang, no problems with either tire, Nexxon looks very, very good, but the Dunlap are realy smooth, smoothest tire I've road on, but they did not come in the Staggered sizes I needed for the Mustang.

I've heard that the nitto hook up good as well. Plus they are slightly wider on the lip to help protect wheels. A good thing when you're wrapping expensive wheels. I'll be parking 5' from any curb in the middle of parking lots.
