Question about shakers

I'm a little unclear on what exactly shakers do. Do they work with your intake or replace it altogether?

They Ram cooler outside air into your throttle body / intake system at higher speeds , up around 70mph or more they start to make a difference ...........

I have a JLT cai...would it still work for me or is it better for stock airbox?

Shaker comes with air intake I believe.

I had air raid intake. Removed and now 4 sale.
