new engine for 2000 3.6L

So I just got my first mustang!!!!! Its a 2000 v6. But I like working on cars and making them go faster. Only problem is I tend to work on friends hondas -__- . So I dont know much about ford engines except the cobra engine.. Id like to put an Ls1 in it. But are their any other ford engines that are good??

Unless you super charge or turbo The f20c won't deliver enough torque to move such a heavy car. You're better off with swapping in a 2v or 4v 4.6l v8.

Re: new engine for 2000 3.6L

the 3.8L engine that came in it is very simple and easy/cheap to work on and fix.. and very cheap to simply replace if you wanted with another one. The built N/A motors (stroked from 3.8 to 4.2) can put down around 300rwhp~ give or take

They can make power but it may be cheaper if you look into a 4v 4.6L engine out of a 96+ Mustang (300hp) or you can spend 6k for an 03/04 cobra motor with much more potential (600rwhp on stock motor)~ your call there though

With enough time, effort and money, you could put anything you want in there.
