3.8 v6 strocker kit

I want to stroke my 3.8 v6 to 4.2 or 4.4
If I stroke it how much HP will I get also going to put new camshaft
Ported cylinder heads, longer push rods, ported upper intake and lower intake .... what cylinder head is better twin port or single port with 3 valvles

My stock 3.8 v6 only pushes 140 or 145 hp I want to at least get in the range of 200 -300 HP

I found all this in Tom morana website

Yeah they were slow and your HP is around 140. I would say get a second engine a 99+ and build it. Add a Windstar intake,4.2 stroker kit, cams, port and polish.220-230 HP I would guess then

Re: 3.8 v6 strocker kit

if you build a 4.2L single port, if its built good with normal or high compression you should see 250-280rwhp maybe more but around that. It all depends on the specs and how the motor is built etc~ it can vary greatly.

what do you mean by 5v or 3v?

I currently dont own a V6 but I have previously owned two. Your stock pre 99 V6 is around 150hp/220tq~ and MUCH less than that at the rear wheels (17% for manual 22% for auto is what you will lose from engine to rear wheels)

The numbers I quoted are rear wheel hp. You can give some guys a call that deal with this like supersixmotorsports and see what they say.
