When will they learn

What's the deal with the little rice burners with there coffee can exhaust. I have a 2012 5.0 Mustang GT. I can pull next to Comaros, challengers, other mustangs and they seem to respect the car. But let me pull up to a rice burner and the coffee cans the want to race. When will they learn that the have no chance!!'

I think it's quite entertaining to mess with them. Seems like they will never learn.

never say never, anything CAN be fast but 99% of the time they are not. I think its more that they just want to race, dont care, or hope you miss a gear so they can claim "victory" or something... plus being a teenager you generally do stupid things.

I do like to play with myself. Nothing like letting them think that are winning, when the get that big smile on their face. Down shift and let them have it, they don't know what happened. One second next up them, the next their breathing in my dust, now that's fun!!!

Has anyone noticed how reckless they drive. I had one try to cut me off merging over.

My first ride was a 5.0L T-bird, and I wad like that.. Glad I didn't get a bike till I was almost 30...

Oh, and 'they' will never learn. Some young kid in home made, duct tape adorning Neon tried to pick a race by cutting in on top of me, and blowing oil all over my ride the other day. It pissed me off but I held my tongue and foot. I just shook my head and laughed at him...

Where I live we have several 10/11 sec imports here. Even some that are faster. I know of at least 15 imports that would smash a full bolt on or even a SC 5.0. And what is worse least half them look bone stock.

I'm a teenager but I try to drive as respectful as possible bc everywhere I see are the terrible driving kids that you're talking about. Cutting people off being the worst. Happens to me quite often so I just usually back off when they come flying up bc getting ahead of one more car on a busy road is going to make such a big difference.

Gotta love the good old fart can exhaust that for some reason they like to rev every two milliseconds. My college is full of them and me and my buddy in his cobra will just hit them back with a few LOUDER Deeper revs. The kids in their hondas immediately stop. Makes me laugh every time.

I start merging over towards them now. They are going to learn one way or another and I'll be happy to oblige. I know several teens who drive like grandmas in pretty nice modded cars, but most of them earned it, or paid for it themselves.

I've had a sports car from day one, I know how bad insurance gets. My 300zx was 285 a month for liability over a year after driving.

To build a 10 sec civic you can do it for under 12k. Seen it done a few times.

Also buy a used Miata drop a LS1 in it with cam and bolt ons. Not to expansive and a very very fast car. Can do it all for less then 15k if look around.

EVO's are very fast pretty cheap as well. The AWD helps them rocket.

The thing about the EVO is at the end of the day it's still a ragged *** Mitsubishi, cheap int, and door handles and stuff. If you don't take care of a Mitsubishi it's like a Neon, itl be smoking and broken lol my wife's Eclipse was a POS  herd similar things about the Lancers quality wise. Herd good things as you say performance wise though.
