What if we could design the next body style?

First of all I know this would never happen, but how could would it be if Ford let us the drivers/ owners of the car vote on and choose from 3 or more different concepts. They would obviously get to tweak the concept for production but the primary design would be customer based. Am I alone or do you think that would be cool also?

PLEEAASSEEEE FORD!
I'm so nervous as to what it will be! I hear they say it'll be completely new design, not based on retrofuturism, and some people want more of an import design...

But I dont want an American muscle car I put all of my heart, money, and reputation into to look like an import..

You know what I mean?
I want some input as to what I'm putting thousands of my hard earned dollars into...

I agree I hope ford has the foresight not to ever make our beloved mustang look anything like an import because I would hate to see them looking like hondas.

all over the forum talk people have been wanting them to base it off an evo!
*shudder* why?!?!?!?!
Something with curves yet sharp muscular edges is what I want,
I don't ever want the Mustang to be based off any other car than itself! Haha

I agree, the mustang history in itself is worth more than any other car in fords current line up. The mustang should be a stand alone platform

Exactly, its scary how much trust we put into one company to make our dreams cone true, but I'm pretty sure they'll do a great job like they always have

Maybe its just me, but i loooove the original body style, probably not the most aerodynamic, but it looks great. And with the advances in technology and more efficient motors, i think they'd be able to work something out. But thats just me :p i like the old school muscle car look.

+1! Or a nice throwback to the fastback... I would love a new version of a 69 fastback

I'm a little scared. I hope it's not too futuristic. No retro throwbacks this time supposedly.

I believe they have leaked photos, but im not sure how reliable they are. The one photo had the mustang looking dimilar to the new camaros. Regardless, we'll find out in a few weeks. Not that i'll be able to afford one anyway haha.

The S197 was based off the 69 Fastback, they said they're not doing anything Retro

Time to see where they go next... with crossed fingers!

I'm already saving up for the 50th, please Ford blow people away with your new design! I want my bang for my buck which you've given people for the past soon to be 50 years with the Mustang. I want something more to slap in the face of camaro owners

We will get whatever Ford decides on. " You can have any color you want as long as it's black." That was Henry's thinking back when, and near as I can tell, it pretty much holds true at Ford today.....Plum
