Go test drive them and see for yourself. I didn't personally, just bought the GT and said the hell with it!

Re: 12 mustang v6 or gt

There is no comparison. Buy the GT. Cause when you buy the V6 and 6 months later wished you would have bought the GT its to late.

Get the GT you will like it better inthe long run. We got the V6 and we love it. We got it so that we could pass it down to my daughter when she starts driving in four years.
But I would have enjoyed the GT more.

I went drive the V6 vs the GT for the same reason, and after driving them there was absolutely no question about it. GT all the way!

Actually from what I read, they r going to have a package called the "mayhem" package for the 6 cylinder n the near future, supposed to flat out run the gt and give the Boss a run for it's money

V6 that's faster than a GT? Ford won't allow that unless they charge more for it than a Gt.

Don't get me wrong, I know you can make good power with fords v6, but I just can't see ford allowing their new 5.0 get bettered by anything but the Gt500's motor unless they throw the ecoboost motor in from the SHO. I had a little 2.5l 4cyl in my STI with just under 400hp with just bolt ons, an accessport, and a custom tune.

It's more expensive than a GT but less than a Boss, think about how much that would surprise someone that u wanna race, they'd never see it coming

Found a review of the mayhem package, it's an additional $1995.00 on top of the base $2295.00. Unfortunately it adds no extra power but new rear gear ratio 3.31, and a bunch of Gt handling parts, like Gt sway bars, shocks and struts, springs, Gt500 lower control arm, Gt brake calipers and upgraded pads, unique 19 inch rims, stability control, strut tower brace, pirelli tires, and unique badging. It's a v6 performance package with a cool name chosen by Facebook users. I found the review on autoweek.com.

$22995.00 correction.

Really? Bc I was watching on the Speed channel and they had a prototype of it and they dyno tested and talked about it and they said wat I posted, but that was bout 7 months ago so maybe they changed it so it wouldn't b so expensive

This is the review of the car. Exactly. They probably had a sweet concept and dialed it down for production. But it still sounds like a nice set package the way it stands.

Yea they took out some of the mods that they had on the Speed channel, that sux, imagine a 6 cylinder running with a gt straight off the ford line, that would b crazy

GT - go test drive the two and you'll feel the difference. Especially with a manual, if you can drive stick. The car just responds differently - I was looking for v6's till I drove one, then decided a GT was worth the money.
Besides, in a year you'll want a GT anyway
