Sub frame connectors

I was thinking that you had to weld them in while the suspension was compressed as in on the ground. I was watching muscle car and they welded them in on their 4eyed while on a lift, the car was not supported by the suspension.

The car must be even. Like the ground but if the lift has it balanced it fine

What do you mean even? If I put stands under my rear axle and one under each A arm would that work?
