Flamethrower from tail pipes - Mustang Evolution

Flamethrower from tail pipes

So im watching pimp my ride and they r restoring a mustang, and one of the mods they put on is a friggn flamethrower coming out the tail pipes, wtf? But they had to take em off bc its not legal in California, so my ? is does this hurt ur pipes?

I've heard of it bring done a different way.. With a little metal hose that runs along side the muffler but isnt attached to the engine or exhaust system and then goes into the tail pipe after the muffler (into the very end of the pipes) and from there releases the propane I believe it was and has a little spark plug type thing that every time the car shifts up a gear it's programmed to release propane and ignite.

What if u have ur cats gutted like mine? I have the basic shell of the cats so it looks legal but its just pipe

Your cats take out all the harmful gasses from your exhaust and the flame kits say to not have kits because they burn the gasses that the cats would filter out
