I know there are mods you can do to a Roush, an it would keep it's value better than the 5.0 but I love the 5.0... So much you can do to them and a fee simple mods you're pushing 450(crank) about 380 wheels. Stock they put 350 at the wheels and like 340ish tq/ft

I have a 427r and love it. They are only 4lbs of boost stock. Vmp has a kit with new pulley cold air and tuner which gets it to 500. Then cams longtubes u dont see them often i get looks and questions everywhere i go

---------- Post added at 06:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:44 PM ----------

Isnt it just a regular Gt engine with a few Roush mods? So shouldn't GT cams, heads, headers, etc fit it? And pulleys and get a custom tune from a dyne place here where I live and get them to run 10lbs? And how much is that kit cost?

Okay, thanks for the information. So I could put in a stage 3 blower cam, trickflow heads, and some LT tuned headers. And run me back some SLP exhaust. And would I gain any? Or is the cam and heads on it better than what I just stated?

All right. Can I ask why you would rather stage 2 instead of 3 though?

The 427r is a stage 3. It has everything the stage 3 has just a lil more power than a normal stage 3. It has the stage 3 plaque under the hood

Forged internals and such? And practically the only way to gain more HP is LTs/Exhaust/and the tune and pulley and boost it to 7-10psi?

Re: 2011 GT/2007 Roush 427R/Shelby GT

If you push that 3V Into the 500 range with no forged internals you will be on borrowed time. It would be the same as pushing a 05-09 GT to 500.

From what I've been hearing, you can take the new 5.0(2011) to the moon with power, 750-800 horses, if I'm not mistaking I saw a build in 5.0 magazine were they installed a I believe vortec blower and made like 800+ on stock internals I believe, I could be wrong tho, I'd have to dig out the mag and check

---------- Post added at 10:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:09 PM ----------

My cousin has a 2011 5.0, he's making 425 to the tire with bolt ons and not that many either lol

The 5.0 dont have forged internals either. The reason they make the power they do is bc of the high compresion and if u look at a real dyno from one they make there power high in the rpms bc they rev so high. Dont get me rong the 5.0s are nice

---------- Post added at 09:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:13 PM ----------

And yea pusing the 3v into the 5s is pushing it but i know of a couple that have high 5s at tires and 1 that has about 570 and has been running it for almost 2 years that way hard as hell. Its just luck of the draw

I think if I was to pick between a Roush 427R or even the stage 3 against the 2011 5.0, for me it's gonna be the Roush, I love blower cars and the Roush is a collector car, plus I think they are one of the sharpest factory cars out there, plus I like the Roush only stuff they have that makes them a Roush
