Maday maday mustang down!!!

So I just got a call my girlfriend got into a wreck... She's fine but the car got t-boned on the right side at the back of the door. The rear axle is bent beyond repair and I'm sure the rear suspension is all jacked up. Does anyone know of a wrecked mustang with a good rear end? I'm not too worried about the looks of the car we just need to get her back on the road again. Really can't afford this right now... I'll post pics soon when It's daylight. And does anyone know how hard it is to replace a rear suspension?

Looks like I'm going to need a rear axle and complete rear suspension as the lower link is cracked at the shock mount. Does anyone know what the compatability is on rear axles? Can I put a GT axle in or maybe one from a earlier or newer model?

No she entered an intersection turning left on a green arrow which had just turned yellow. She went through and by the time she was in the intersection the oncoming light had turned green and a dodge pickup ironically similar to mine was coming in the right lane when his light turned green so he never slowed down and was probably speeding. So he tagged her and spun her around. The ALLEN POLICE officer was a Fu$&@!& di&$ and wrote her a ticket for not yielding to oncoming traffic and didn't give her any information at all about who's fault it was or if he wrote the other guy a ticket or not. Being a speeder myself I have taken numerous defensive driving classes which have informed me that a green light does not mean go. It means " you may enter the intersection if it is safe". There fore making it his fault in my eyes. She entered on a yellow light so it's going to probably have to go to court to beat it and hopefully get their insurance to pay for the repairs.

Do you have full coverage on it?... If so and if you can do the work yourself, or have a friend help you, you might be able to make a little cash out of it!... At any rate this does suck!.. And glade your girl is doing ok!...

Thanks a ton everyone I appreciate the thoughts. I think we are going to end up buying another mustang for a 1000-1500 that doesn't run and swap her current motor and trans into it... So maybe this will end up being an ok thing... Still sucks though. I think I'm going to try and find a GT body and swap the v6 into it that way all the rear bumper swaps and hood scoops and junk we v6 guys try to do will already be done! Lol. and luckily I have a buddy who has already pulled and put in 5 of these exact motors. So it should only be a two day process....

It's all good that guy is probably going to hell for hitting a mustang... But I can't be too hard on him. He did hold an umbrella over my girl when the cop got back in his car and left her in the rain... And I mean rain that makes the roads flood and people were putting on their hazards. Ya know the kind of rain that I was hauling some a$$ in to get to the accident! Lol. I made that hov lane my beeotch in and out of those flimsy little pylons designed to keep you out of it. I was mowing them over at 45 mph

Yeah frankenstang. Lol. And that name shall stick! And does anyone have a 99-04 Convertable? How is the tops on them? I always hear horror stories about Convertable tops leaking air and or water. Did ford get it right with these stangs? And how can I check to make sure it is still in good condition?
