Drew Smith's Terminator Winter 2012 project

Here is what I plan to do over the cold nasty winter in MI. Winter does suck but it gives me plenty of time to do lots of Mods!!!! Enjoy!

* NX Nitrous kit Nozzle system: Gain up to 150HP, Throttle position activated, Easy purge kit install
NX Nitrous Kit - Nozzle System (86-04 GT) 20922-10 - Free Shipping!
NX Bottle Heater - D-4 (79-12 All) 15940 - Free Shipping!

* Full Tilt Boogie IRS bushing kit. This will cancel almost all wheel hoop which is notorious on the Terminators. A lot of half shaft been busted because horrible wheel hoop. Probable the most important mod this winter. I will perform this first.

* Chrome Deep Dish FR500 Wheel - 17x10.5 with Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial II 9" front and 10.5" in back Very Happy
Tires: Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial II - 295/45-17 3745R - Free Shipping!
Rims: Chrome Deep Dish FR500 Wheel 94-04 Mustang (17x10.5) at AmericanMuscle - Free Shipping!

* engine bay clean up: I have a lot of wires everywhere put in by first owner. Just gonna go thru and clean it up real nice and detail engine bay.

Re: Drew Smith's Terminator Winter 2012 project

Get the 315 mickeys...295s are ok, but the 315s fit perfect (that's what's currently on my car as well).

The Full Tilt kit is a real nice kit. Install is pretty simple and straight forward. Dropping the IRS isn't that bad either (assuming you're doing the work yourself).

Is that nitrous kit going to work on your cobra? It's for a GT...nothing about our intake is similar to the GT. Also...if you're going with that large of a shot, are you going with a wet kit or a dry kit? 150 shot I would go wet all the way unless you are bumping your injectors up over 60# and helping your fuel pumps out.

Also, as a bit of good news/side note for you. While a nitrous kit claims certain power numbers, on the cobras, because of the cooling effect of the nitrous and the compression of more into each cylinder....you actualy get more than the advertised HP of the kit. 50 shots are known to bump power by 75-90 depending on the tune.

My project this winter is just to install the reservoir tanks I've had for almost a year now. Need to get them coated. Other than that, it's mission "get the fox running" impossible for me.

Yes I plant to do the install off the IRS bushings. easy enough, just takes time and I have lots of that this winter.

For the Nitrous kit I plan to only do a 50 shot. I copied and pasted what was on American muscle add. LOL That particular kit was what NX told me would work best for my car. I will get into the details in February in reference to nitrous kit. I am sure I will be up in your ear before I purchase, along with all my others mechanic friends.

Well, with the 50 shot, and the KB, you may very well see close to +100 at the wheels....I know eaton cars were getting big boosts from small shots.

That's fricken sweet. And its pretty safe as far as Nitrous goes. Over all plan is to probably blow up the motor, buy new, upgrade all internals and then Hellion Twin Turbo kit. I hope in about 5 years my car will be 1000+ hp max. and I will have different setting for daily driving, street race, and drag.

My goal is maybe next year (meaning 2013), putting in a big bore 5.0 and maybe a 2.9 whipple or 2.8 KB...then I'll be done.

If I don't do that, then I want to put a 460 that's been stroked out to over 500 cubes into the fox. We'll see which one happens. lol

I was just over 600 at 19 pounds. However, I am now running 21 pounds but have not been to a dyno to see the numbers yet (I'm tuning my own car now so it's all street tuning).
