Buying mach 1

What would I have to expect the price of a 99-04 Mach 1? I want to sell my v6 and get a gt but getting Mach 1 would be cool too and I want to know how much it would be

Mach 1s were only made in the 03 and 04 year of that body style.

I've been looking into buying one but haven't found the right one yet. I've found some from 12k to 17k. All depends on the miles.

---------- Post added at 08:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:46 PM ----------

Best part is its winter and not many people by sports cars in the winter so you could probably get a better deal for one.

I might just wait an extra 6months or so before I get a new one and save for a Mach 1 because it would be nice since you don't see too many of them out there

Like he said its gonna be hard to find one for under 12k. But if you do it will probably have a pretty decent amount of miles on it. I bought my 02 GT this past march with 43k for 9k.

All the GT's I've been seeing on Craigslist have been for like 6k or 7k and anywhere between that and 12k but none of them are the sonic blue I want and I don't have my money yet and probably won't till end of the summer but I guess I could buy one that's 6k and paint it which would be cheaper than buying one for 10k that is sonic blue

It would be so awesome to find myself a Mach 1, I'm going to try as hard as I can. My friends dad worked at a bunch of dealerships and knows a lot of people that like him and will give he a great deal on anything so he might be able to find me one. If not he can get me a nice gt

I got my black mach 1 with ported heads and intake manifold. 90k miles on chassi, 30k on the engine, needs hood and front bumper resprayed to be perfect (brake pads / rotors and a rear axle seal too so about 500 in repairs) for $8000 in Canada. There's fewer than 300 in the country. So I need a little paint but that's it. There are awesome deals put there. I made 309rwhp and 321rwtq as it sat when I bought her. Jlt rai, steeda tri-ax and a bama tune have made a huge difference. I'm an exhaust setup away from the end of my build. Great car and not too bad on gas either. And if you think about it... its really the fastest normally aspirated ohc (fastest mustang period if you measure on a road course) mustang produced untill the 2011 gt with exception of the 2000 cobra R.

Spun lower end bearing. Happens randomly to engines. It had a defect according to the diagnosis sheet. Its why warrantys exist. Car itself is tight and a lot of fun to drive.

Thanks for the comment suggesting my car is a pos tho!

I was about to buy a 2000 V6 with 76,000 miles for 4,500 I drove two hours to VA and the dealer called me the next day telling me the bearing had spun and the engine wouldn't start now. Offered the car to me for 2,100 lmao NO

I didn't say your car was or is a pos but a rebuild at 60k is pretty rare unless the motor has been abused however if it's been rebuilt who cares right? I was just surprised that it needed a rebuild after so little miles

Sorry I was a bit over lubricated last night... ive seen spun bearings from 10 miles to 400k miles or more. Just bad luck I guess. The original owner had like 400 km left on his extended warranty amd the dealership dropped in a brand new shortblock. Original owner had the heads and intake ported while they waited for the new parts. Total bill was 8800 bux with a new clutch, flywheel, pumps mounts etc. Ford covered most of it according to the service records. I bought it two years after for 8k. Steal. Makes 309/321 on a mustang dyno before I started modding it.

Re: Buying mach 1

they can bring good money if they are clean and nice and have low miles~ other than that just go by KBB/NADA... but I would buy one with low miles if i was you.
