Seatbelt indicator

I have a 2003 V6 I got the car in October and about a week after I got it the seat belt sensor kept going off on the dash when I was driving and the seat belt was on. The terminals are clean and I'm not sure what the problem could be. As of now it's just unplugged... If anybody has any trouble shooting itd be a great help!
