Re: X pipe for v6

It'll be much louder.... but a little raspy on our 6ers. Just my opinion. maybe try O/R H-pipe with those Flo's... I am a little partial to that set-up, but it will have a deeper growl to it, I promise.

I agree with "bmabbott", go with the H pipe.

What can I get If I put H pipe, sound will be louder and better?
I like the sound of a v8 and I know it's impossible for v6.

What kind of H pipe is better for my v6?

Re: X pipe for v6

I have the MAC O/R Shorty H-pipe w/ "conversion kit" extensions to reach the manifolds.... because I am going with Long tubes when I finish the m90 swap... I personally think an O/R Hpipe w/ Flowmaster 44's is the absolute closest you will get to that "V8" sound out of a V6 engine... I have heard a lot of v6 set-ups that sound pretty good, but still think this setup will be the deepest pitch while still remaining pretty loud... and it's cheap and easy

I live in south California, and its not a good idea to put O/R H pipe because of the very strict emission in here. What if I put H pipe after the catalytic would it be sound better and deep with 44 series flow master?

Re: X pipe for v6

The Catted H-Pipe should be fine.
