NEED HELP !

I have a 85 Camaro Iroc z. The car wouldn't start so I changed the alternator and the wiring ad had the car jumped, start and ran for 3 min and then died. Won't start again. Any ideas guys? I know it's not a mustang but it's American !

Re: NEED HELP !

If you changed the alternator than it sounds like the cells in the battery are shot. Even a charge will only be good for a few days. Also check your ground wires.

Re: NEED HELP !

Was it the right alternator? Refurb or new? What about the voltage regulator?

The weirdest thing worked. I changed the spark plugs and used sea foam. I'm pretty sure the sea foam worked cuz there was probably moisture in the gas. Now engine coolant is soaked on the drivers side floor mat an smoke is coming threw the air vents. I'm thinking heater core?
