Advice

Looking for some advice on painting a part that has already been painted!.. Should I completely sand it all the way down?.. Anyone with experience with paint and body work please feel free to chime in!...

you can usually get away with painting over paint.as long as there is no imperfections in it as they will show through.if you go this route make sure you still clean it very well.even oil from your hands can hurt the paint.if lots of cleaners have been used on the part over the years sometimes its hard to just paint over.but if you prime it first it should help.

if its easy to sand down or sand blast that would be ideal.i would still use primer and make sure you have it nice and clean.
