How often do you get on it?

Ok, how often do you get on it, floor it, punch it, when you drive you Mustang? I would like to know. Do you lay a patch every time you leave your neighborhood on the way to work or do you drive like an old blue hair driving to get her hair done?

Personally, I go through the gears at least 3 times a week, but my car is still new to me and I can't resist.

Re: How often do you get on it?

I only get to drive her once or twice a week if I'm lucky so I let loose a little bit each time. I've had the car for a year and a half and I'm just about to break 4k miles.

Definitely when merging onto the highway, so much fun! I love it. That's the only time I really get
on it, everywhere else is average. So maybe twice a week hard, the rest just normal

Re: How often do you get on it?

I've had mine for 14 months and have put 25000 on it. About once or twice a month i'll go on a cruise and if there's no one else around I'm on the gas pretty much constantly. Otherwise as my daily driver I try to be civil but probably at least once or twice a week I'll still push her.

I love my car!!!

Re: How often do you get on it?

I second the highway ramp, but the roads around me right now suck, so basically just on the highway where I know all the traps. Twisty backroads are my favorite but I dont get out in the country too much these days so going to make up for it at the track this year.

I try to get on it at least twice a week but my Ex wants more commitment. So, not so much anymore. Lol.

I like to go WOT and toss the car into a curve. There's nothing like the smell of tire smoke and steering with the rear wheels.

I have only had mine since December and I have already put 11000 miles on her. But I still get on her at least 2 - 3 times a week. I used to drive her hard everywhere, but I had to learn to get better gas mileage so the boss wood pay for some of my gas.

My stang is pretty new got it 1 year ago and I have almost 2k on it. I only drive it on weekends, I would say I get on it once a week or two. An whenever i see a 350z. It's fun having my friends scream in the back seat with terror. Haha

Re: How often do you get on it?

ive never went WOT through more than about 3rd gear, I do get on it but I dont feel the need to redline it all the way to 155 lol.... plus I dont want the ticket

I try to enjoy it though every time I drive it, even if its just getting to or around the speed limit as fast a possible

I tend to pull a few times a week, it's my DD so I have to preserve gas...

This is sort of my style. Ever since my suspension mods, I enjoy cornering hard than going fast.

Re: How often do you get on it?

I daily drive mine aswel so gas is a small concern. I like to swing her around corners and punch it pretty oftenly, it makes me feel like a champ when I smoothly slide her around then nail off a tidy quick shift. The girlfriends not a big fan though, she thinks we're gonna die since the seat belts don't really restrain and there's no airbags.

I love beating on my mustang. That's what I built it for! But I've had to take it easy with the motor pushing over 400hp and still having a stock T5.

Cool, that's tough I'm sure. It's so much easier dumping the clutch off the line when you don't have to look back to see if you left something there!

Usually once every two weeks or so. And that's just from a stop flooring it through gears. Other than that the only time I get on my baby is when someone pissed me off by driving like an *******, cutting me off, etc. Definitely have a little road rage.

Only time I ever get into it is in second gear when no one is around. Or if I'm back in my hometown with my best buddy and his '88 fox pushing 430rwhp. Then we're always in the back roads winding it out.

As for road rage.. I'm probably too relaxed for my own good. People cut me off and I don't care. That's what my brakes are for, right? Anyway- it just gives me more of an excuse to hear a badass downshift snarl. I love shifting slow through the gears. I almost like cruising more than going fast.

I get road rage but not as bad as other people around here... About a month ago I was headed home waiting in traffic when the guy in the car next to me got out of his truck, walked up to the car behind him, which was driven by a careless looking lady, smashed the cars window and yelled "you wanna keep tail gating me now *****!!?" then walked into his truck and continued to wait in traffic. The lady damn near shat her self. I'm guessing the cops eventually got him since I'm sure at least 10-20 cars back saw the whole thing.

I get frustrated with people who can't pay attention to the road! Or don't follow the laws!

I daily drive it (201,000 on my 2006 now) and get on it every day on my commute - getting on the expressway, changing lanes, etc. Love to hear the Xcharger scream.
