ordered a new 2013

Can't believe I can't track its progress on being built with todays super computers. I can track a package being delivered from half way across the world, but can't track the progress of a car I just spent thirty grand plus on.

Haha nice, what options did you get I'm going to hold off for a late 2014 or the new 2015, maybe I'll like the 15s more so who knows

Straight GT. AUTOMATIC, deep impact blue. This is my retirement toy. Will never see snow, other bad elements. I went into my dealer in March to order a Kona blue, 2012. Was informed that ford stopped taking orders for the 012 and taking 013 orders. I looked for an 012 in Kona, automatic everywhere but no luck. I needed the automatic because of back problems that can act up at anytime.

Ha ha, I know, I wish I could get assembly line pics e-mailed to me, but for now call Ford Customer care for updates. And the '13 A/T comes w/ the hill assist thing so maybe better than a '12. Congrats!

Start a folder marked 2013 mustang. Put every recipt in it. Keep all oil change and maint records in there. Anything to do with said car. That way when asked you'll have everything at hand. It will also add value when time to resale.

True that! Some auto shops have webcams so you can see exactly what they are doing.

I have a new GT ordered also, with the same question. Ford really needs to catch up with the technological times! I've worried my dealer to death calling about when my car will get here, lol.

For those who are interested, I ordered the GT Premium, 6-speed manual, 18" polished aluminum wheels, leather "stone" colored seats, electronics package for the nav system, comfort package for the "pony light" (if you don't know, ask... I love talking about this! lol), deleted the stripes so I can get something unique. I can't wait for my baby to get here!

Just read online that about a month after the order is placed, your dealer will get a VIN #. Once you have it it'll be easy to print out the Window sticker, that has a numeric code on the top that gives you the exact day the car will be built. I takes about 18 hours from start to finish. Then your dealer can easily track its shipping.

Re: ordered a new 2013

True, and my dealer did give me a delivery date... which is tomorrow actually. But then I called yesterday and was told it could be anywhere from tomorrow to the first of May. Words can't describe how disappointed I was, since I had gotten myself all geared up to pick it up tomorrow! But we'll see....

With the 2013's "Comfort Package", they have included a wonderful new option... When you push the remote button to unlock the doors, there's a light on the under side of the sideview mirror that comes on and shines the shape of the galloping pony on the ground beside the car! Isn't that amazing??? I just HAD to have it! lol

Re: ordered a new 2013

I agree.. it IS awesome! My dealer had never heard of it and had no idea how to order it. Then my husband found it when he was doing the "Build and Price" thing on line... it was included in the comfort package. So I had to have that added to my order. I just wasn't gonna be satisfied without it.

After knowing it exists, I wouldn't have been satisfied without it either. That is just too cool!
