I ordered a 2013 mustang GT on April 3rd. I just checked on the status and ford says the order is still in processing. Are you kidding? I might just jump ship and get a camaro. Chevy is stocking their dealers with them.

Re: WHY SO LONG

I understand you're anxious but no reason to be upset. it's a brand new body style and they're selling like hot cakes!! You'll get it eventually and when you do you'll be happy you waited!!

Think about it, if you go get a maro, you may end up regretting it within a couple months and it'll always be eating away at you in the back or your mind.... "it wasn't that bad of a wait but now I'm stuck with this transformer thingy and I could've been driving my mustang instead. WHY WON'T YOU TRANSFORM BUMBLEBEE?!?!?!"

If your so anxious why would you order one? Not like they throw it together over night. Gotta wait a couple months, especially with a 13 since they are brand new, and I'm sure ford has lots of orders.

On another note. I'm not a camaro basher. I think they are really nice cars! If that's what you want, then go get one!

There are Mustangs on lots too. Go get yourself one if youre too impatient to wait for exactly what you want. Or get a dealer Camaro but youll be sorry you did in a few months either way.

That's because they can't sell them.

Re: WHY SO LONG

My local dealer has a 13 sitting on the lot. Red with a white racing stripe, and fairly base model otherwise.

Re: WHY SO LONG

When I ordered my 2013 on April 21 they said to expect minimum of 6 weeks. That's fine because I need to get mine sold so it gives me time.

But to the OP if you wanted one right away then you should have had them look for one already on a lot that they could trade for. You might not get all the equipment and options exactly how you wanted them but that is the only way to get it sooner.

I actually wanted an 012 in Kona blue, but when I went to order one it was to late. Believe me, I had 4 dealers, and myself searching. None could be found.

Update -the mustang GT I ordered on April 3rd and told it would take 6-8 weeks? Well ford just confirmed that my car will be built in June, and to expect a July delivery. What the hell is the tie-up?

It's not like when you buy it yours goes to priority #1... They could possibly have hundreds of orders all coming in at the same time, that will take a while to complete.
