My local Limestone County Mustang Cub had its monthly meet. We had a bunch of Shelbys, Roush, Boss and GTs plus some older fox bodies. Great fun!!

It wasn't hard at all. The instructions are really good on this kit.

I see you used rivets. Could you use bolts? Did you have to drill holes? Sorry for all the questions. Lol

It works great, better than I thought. I bought it off of Moss Muscle for $38 on sale.

Easy install, but you need a buddy to hold the hood when you loosen the bolts on each side ( one side at a time of course ) to get the struts on. Do NOT try to do it yourself! I also jammed a towel under the lip to make sure it couldn't touch the trim near the windshield when we loosened it.

You must be talking about another kit. I did it by myself, no problems at all. I never loosened any bolts to the hood. Mine is made by Red Line tuning

Mine were Shelby struts. You had to loosen one bolt and completely remove the other so that's the slightly precarious point!

I bought this set from Moss when I first got my car.Ford Mustang Ultimate Hood Lift Kit by Cobalt - Polished and they look spectacular.
However, when I got them and saw it would require drilling holes and riveting them on, I had second thoughts.

I found a used pair of these painted Vista Blue and got them instead.
ENG-058-600 Mustang CPC NXT Generation Hood Strut Kit GT500 2007-2012/V6/GT 2011-2014/Boss 302 2012-2013 | CJ Pony Parts

The unmolested polished stainless ones are now on Craig's List for $20 and the NXTs are installed and very welcome.

Can you post a link?

Do you know if they would work on a 93 mustang?

Here's my ad: Hood Struts for 2005-2009 Mustang

But I can't imagine they would fit on a Fox, since the dimensions are so different.
