I don't know what you have done to your car, but those LS1's can eat a 4.6 alive stock vs stock, but maybe he had a dog. A lot of them are like that

Went and did some entertaining / mildly scary drifting the first rain in over a month.. And my car is idling great now no more fluctuating. But I did notice the drivers side is lower than the passenger side, so I guess it's time for new shocks.

Re: What did you do with your Mustang today

Sealed the paint a few weeks ago, today I hand washed it & am using a detail spray premixed with 15% sealant even though there wasn't any water spots. Later today I'll clean the interior with a cleaner & top off with a leather conditioner.

Re: What did you do with your Mustang today

thanks guys, well something really cool just happened, now that i spent 3+ hours cleaning it, the landscapers that take care of the community i live in, cut the grass and then they came through with the leave blower to blow away the trimmings. Needless to say my car got covered in grass So i ran down the street to get the leaf blower guy and got him to come back and blow off the car. Still dirty though. poop

Shocks maybe but the springs hold up the car. Check to see if the if they are ok as well.

When a shock goes out, the car will bounce more going over bumps, like when you see a crappy Honda go over a bump and then just bounce back and forth for a bit.

I have never really noticed and bouncing... And today I washed the car with 90's and no clouds on sight...... Now it's borderline a flash flood outside..

Sometimes struts can get to where they seem hard, really slamming the car on bumps. When I've experienced this, the struts had stains on them, like they had leaked.

It does seem to hit bumps hard, but It could be me just thinking that. But I have never noticed any leaking. I will check when it's not a terenchal downpour.

One way to test this is to push down on the hood a couple times and see how many times it bounces

Ok. To check your springs, measure what your ride height is. Measure from the ground to the top of your wheelwell. Are you on the stock springs

No they are steeda, I'm not sure what ones though. All I know is that they are blue. I looked once and the only blue ones I could find online were sport springs if I remember correctly they gave you a 1.25 inch drop but I would have to look again to be sure.

Ok, well figure out what stock height is, subtract whatever the springs should lower, and if your ride height is lower than that on one side then they are worn out

Drop your tape measure in your console and measure it next time your in a flat parking lot. If it is off by ~1/2", maybe a spring isolator dried up, split and fell off..?
