Took my Cobra to the local grudge night drags on Friday night. Got there late, 8pm but they weren't busy so I was able to get 7 runs in for $20. Very disappointed at first was running in the 15's couldn't get traction. Then finally got in the opposite lane and ran 14.6, 14.4, and finally 14.2 @ 98.58. I have factory gears of 3.23 and street tires with about 50% or less tread.

I need to work on my launch. Only my second time there. Started at about 3K and lots of spin. On another drivers advice I dropped it down to 1500, but I think I'm punching it too hard, too fast. Also after my last run, he tells me I could drop a couple tenths and pick up some mph if I shifted to 4th at 6000 instead of going through traps in 3rd at 7,000. Still had fun. Anxious to learn, drop in my BAMA tune, and go back.

I don't know how it works in Texas but out here In California anything over 15 mph it's considered wreck less driving good for an additional point on your record. Sorry about your ticket

If you could only do one right now which would you pick. Cold intake OR Rousch muffler?

After spending the day out on the river I let my friend who always gives my @&$! about me and my new stupid car drive my car home. Not because I was being nice but just so she could see how much fun my car is to drive. It worked. She's hooked! Lol
