For some reason I thought that rain tires meant that I could drive the exact same speed limit (plus the curves) that I could during dry weather. I was dead wrong.........but God didn't make me pay for it.

You can't do too much to a Shelby... It's already near perfect. Meh might as well have put a Cowboys or Big Gulp bumper sticker on it. "WLS Radio" or "KISS FM"! Lol

Yes I saw that. Sorry but for $250,000 I would want a car with a pedigree like a Shelby 1000, Ferrari or Lamborghini etc.

So as you guys know I ordered my tuner a couple days ago. I'm wondering what octane I should be going with. So far I've been using 91 and over the 87 I think it's been an overall positive change for the car.

We have 94 Octane fuel also available at my location. Should I look into that? The price difference is negligible (like $5-6 per tank) but I want to make sure it will help with performance or at least engine care.

I've done some research online but everything is iffy and used-to's and all. Anyone actively using 94-Octane?

I wouldn't do a 94 Octane tune just because you dont see the gas everywhere. What if you travel and you can't find it? I've never even seen 94 in Florida for example

Hmm...good point. We have it abundantly available where I live though. Anyways, it would be interesting if anyone could point to whether or not there is a noticeable difference between 93/94. I'll give BAMA a call tomorrow. They probably know.

Yea the answer kind slipped thru that comment you will notice a big difference in performance from a 87 tune to a 93/4 tune because Bama can advance the timing more therefore squeeze out more HP. Hope that helped

Kk. I'm on empty on 91 and am just wondering if I should switch to 94 (we don't have 93 here). I guess I'll just wait. If I decide to, the 94 will always be there for me

You can switch to 94 and still run the 91 tune, just don't run 91 gas on a 94 tune.

This was yesterday, but I went for an awesome cruise with my buddy (he was in his BRZ). We drove around the country roads of PG and Anne Arundel Counties here in Maryland. I got a lot of good practice with handling and downshifting... definitely getting the hang of rev matching. We ended up near the Annapolis harbor, then took the loooooong way home.

Perfect weather the whole time, windows down when going under 50MPH... simply perfect. I ****ing love this car.
